Welcome to Friday!

Photobucket
Are you attending a cocktail party, dinner at a friend's house or a weekend cookout?  Are you not sure what to bring your host/hostess?  Here are a few High Five for Friday suggestions!

For those of you Southern Ladies and Gentlemen you will die for these mason jar glass with handles!  You can even get them personalized!

If your host/hostess loves to bake and with macarons being the new dessert of choice, this book would be a huge hit!

A gift of chocolate covered strawberries are always appreciated and can be served at the party or saved later for the host to enjoy alone!  These strawberries are from 1-800-baskets, but you can always pre-order them at your local bakery!

If you know they are tea lovers, this Samoa Teapot would be a touching gift!  It can be used over and over again, how resourceful!

For the cheese lover, which here in Wisconsin we find a lot of, the "King of Cheeses"  (Roquefort) would be an amazing treat!

If you want to be safe, a bottle of red or white wine (host's preference) is a fabulous gift!

Hope these gave you a few ideas for the next party you are attending, you host/hostess will be ever so grateful for the thoughtfulness.

Stop Taking And Start Giving

Written By: Ooh La La (Danielle Marie)

We have written blog posts about friendship and making it a two-way street.  If a friendship is going to grow and foster, both parties have to be willing to give and take, but why is it so difficult for people to understand this?   We are all human and can easily get caught into this selfish trap, we need to stop thinking only of ourselves, it is time to think of others!

Kisses, Loves!

Good Friends Know How to Be There When Needed and When to Take a Step Back and Give Space

Now, there are some extremely generous people in the world, and they may offer to help, but don't take advantage of their generosity.  Return the favor once in awhile!  Stop taking and start giving.  There will come a point that a friendship might be lost over this selfishness!  So maybe it's time to take a step back and rethink your actions.

Great Friendships are like Ice Cream: sweet and smooth!

So, here's the lesson...be a good friend!  Be the type of friend you want to have.  If all people behaved with a selfless charity, there wouldn't be the typical overly caddy, back-biting, drama filled relationships that seem to dominate our world!  So, instead of always taking, start returning the favor.  You will be amazed by the results!

Parking the Car...And Shoes?

Written By: Ooh La La (Danielle Marie)

Well it's Shoesday Tuesday and we are going to talk about parking your car and of course, shoes!  You may ask what parking the car and shoes have in common?  Well there are more similarities than you can imagine!  A poorly parked car and a bad pair of shoes can ruin anyone's day.  Haha, no I'm serious!

How often do we look for the perfect parking spot and just as we find it, the car in the next space somehow did not park within the yellow lines, disaster!  Why is it so difficult to park a car straight?  No, your Ford Expedition will fit in one parking spot and your Toyota Prius doesn't have to be parked over the yellow line, since your car really doesn't stick out as much as you think!  Oh wait, you were in a rush and didn't have time to park your car correctly?  If that's so, then how did you have enough time to stop for a Starbucks Latte fifteen minutes prior?  No excuses!  Parking the car is one of those situations where you need to think about the other people around you, not just yourself!  Unless you own the parking lot, have some consideration and stay within the yellow lines, don't worry your car will fit!

Now for the part about shoes.  How much time do you put into choosing the perfect pair of shoes each morning?  O.K., we do realize that not every woman adores shoes as much as we do, but we all have our flaws!  Whether you spend your mornings choosing the perfect purse, the essential accessories or a decent amount of time applying makeup, the whole point is that you spend the time!

Here's to showing a bit of Toe Cleavage!

Considering the amount of time you spend each morning choosing the perfect pair of shoes for the perfect outfit, maybe it's time you spent a little more time parking your car within the yellow lines!  You wouldn't walk out of the house with two different shoes or one shoe with a huge hole in it, this looks like you don't care!  Then why do you want to park your car haphazardly, like you don't care?  You do care, you just need to take the time and make the effort.  We will all greatly appreciate your selfless efforts when parking your car!

Closet Organization: Close It or Closet It

Written By: Ooh La La (Danielle Marie)

Even with an incredibly busy weekend, my husband and I (mostly my husband) were able to organize several area of our house!  So I thought it was appropriate to discuss closest organization based on our temperaments.  How do you organize your clothing closet?  Does your temperament have anything to do with your system of organization?  Do you prefer to keep your closet door closed or open?  It's all on how you organize it!

http://provocmanners.polyvore.com/

Choleric: A typical choleric will more than likely organize their closets based on type of clothing and color.  They find it easiest to choose an outfit by organizing each piece of clothing into a similar category such as shirts, sweater, dresses, etc. and then each category is placed together by color. Sorry choleric, you are the most anal-retentive without being an over the top perfectionist!  Is this too extreme?

Melancholic: If you are wondering which temperament has the highest degree of perfectionism?  It's the melancholic, who are extremely thoughtful and consider various options before making a decision.  Their closets are typically not all similar as color may work better for some and organizing by type of clothing works better for others.  However, their closets are the most meticulous as they are extremely concerned about keeping the condition of their clothing in pristine condition.  Way to make us look bad, Melancholic!

Phlegmatic: This is the temperament that would more likely prefer to close their closet door rather than keep it open.  A typical phlegmatic is the most likely to not have a specific organizational system.  They are extremely dutiful, but oftentimes put organization to the wayside.  If they have become accustomed to a disheveled closet, it will be very difficult for them to change their methods as they don't prefer change.  Stability is comforting.  Who doesn't like comfort?

Sanguine: We all know the sanguine love the social life and this is exactly how they organize their closets.  It's all based on future social events, dressy sweaters near cute skirts or dress pants.  Work clothes will be put together for the days at the office and fitted tees/denim are organized together for those casual events.  Only a sanguine will understand this method of composition.  Way to make it all about the social events even arranging your closet, Sanguine!

How do you organize?
