One of My All-Time Favorite Holidays: July 4th!

The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. I think partly because we all have a communal reason to celebrate, but largely my love for this holiday stems from my grandmother and mother. They made such an amazing effort when we were kids to take us to the parades, decorate bikes, perform in the community talent shows, visit the festivals with amazing rides and of course, end the day with a BBQ and fireworks! I love everything RED, WHITE, and BLUE! Don't you?

Happy Fourth of July! Favorite Memories.

Favorite Childhood July 4th Memories

Decorating my bike as a kid for the parade, even sitting on the sides waiting for the candy was magical!

Admiring the military men in uniform as they carried the American Flag.

Helping my dad put the American flags out in the front yard.

Going shopping with my mom for a special "4th of July outfit".

Everything being Red, White and Blue (it's the only time these colors really work, well maybe that's because it has patriotic feel no matter how they are worn...

Memorial Day Favorites

Memorial Day is one of our favorite National Holidays! The patriotic flare, the family time, barbecue food in abundance and it finally is a sign that summer is here! We put together a few of our favorite ways to celebrate on Memorial Day and to remember those who have served our country!
